1. What motivates you?
Seeing other artists and designers go bigger and crazier motivates me to keep pushing my work. Reflecting on my years working for other people motivates me to keep grinding as an entrepreneur. Having people appreciate my work is always nice too.

2. Who/what are your greatest inspirations?
I find inspiration everywhere. Fashion, math, nature, chemistry, architecture, graffiti, human interactions, history, daydreams of the future, everything. Also my community of friends in Design (The KDU), Art (ROJO) , and Graffiti (WUT).

3. How do you describe your artistic style?
My “Vectorfunk” style of art is free, and a lot of it is abstract and non-representational. Very geometric and colorful. I also do a series called “B/W Bangers” each year that is black and white ink on watercolor paper. This series is more representational, it is meant to be viewed as a whole and become a narrative. My design work is across the spectrum. Sometimes very minimal, effective information delivery, other times very detailed and complex. It all depends on the goal and message of the design, and where the piece will live.

4. Who is the most important person in your life?
My wife Laura and our son Malachi mean the world to me.

5. Whats the most demanding project you ever took on?
I was working at Burton Snowboards last year as a Web Designer on a skeleton team. Each year Burton redesigns their entire website and has all new product. It is a gigantic job, done by a small team, in a short period of time. I wont go into specifics of how demanding the project was, but I will say this, It wasn’t until the middle of August 2007 that I got a sunburn. But it was definitely one of the most rewarding projects I’ve been a part of as well. Burton has a great Creative Department, and it was an honor to be a part of it.
