Soon you’ll be able to tag the nape of your neck in blue each morning and earn the aura of a deadly shrub. That’s certainly a step up from simply spritzing on the drab new Marc by Marc (by Marc) daisy concoction.
Cobalt stained eau de hemlock will soon be the new Chanel No. 5 once Boudicca’s new fragrance, Wode, launches this month at Barneys (currently only available in mainland London). The concept is inspired by historical blue war paint and the self-poisoning suicide of the Brit designers’ namesake Queen Boadicea. But then they threw in the graffiti spray can packaging and notes of juniper for street and shelf appeal.
I personally could care less how this shit smells. The non-staining, fade-away cobalt color gimmick is enough to make me stand in line and shell out a couple hundred bucks (Brits are getting it for £65) for a few ounces. I’m sold.
